Thrashin with French the last two weeks has been a lot fun but everything good must come to an end. Here is another Funeral Fog video made by French. See you in January Lord.
It’s been 9 years since the last time I saw The Get Up Kids. It’s a trip to see a band with that many years in between. I look different, they look different, but we both look the same…heavier than we were 9 years ago. Ha!

Dethkills is now available at legendary skateshop Supreme in Los Angeles. Go in there and support the both of us. They are located at 439 N. Fairfax Ave. Los Angeles, CA. 90036. Booya!

French has been staying with us this last week. He is out here from London for his show with Derek. We had a damn good time. He made this video of what went down. Also, we got him into our studio one day and did a screen print with him. It will be for sale soon. We only made 30 of them so keep an eye out for that as they will sell fast. He will also be the featured artist in the next issue of “Deth To Flase Everything” which will be released in January.
French is the man check his work out at funeralfrench.blogspot.com.
Derek Albeck and French have a show together that is going on now. It’s called “the initiation”. Stop by Cerasoli gallery and check it out, sell your soul to Satan and pick up a zine. Great job by those guys. The show is insane.

I’m assuming people buff graffiti because they don’t like the way it looks. We were watching the Chargers game on Monday night at a bar in Hollywood and I walked into the bathroom and it looked like a 9 year old bedazzled the walls. Then I realized that the only stuff that was bedazzled were the scribes in the tiles, mirror and paper towel dispensers. I couldn’t believe the owner of the bar thought that would look better than the scribes. What a trip. By far the strangest way I have seen graffiti buffed.

good friends. good food. good times.

Derek Albeck and French’s ‘The Initiation’ in Gallery Three consists of works in a variety of medias, including drawings, serigraphs, video and a small installation. With a shared interest in the occult, Albeck and French explore the idea of an initiation rite as interpreted by two artists working in different techniques and with unique conceptual ideas. The works are mutual investigations of forms of transformation and passage as rites of initiation, as well as tongue-in-cheek meditations on extreme music, such as a metal song by the band Inquisition. Derek Albeck lives and works in Los Angeles developing complex figurative works influenced by his background in graphic printmaking. His work has been exhibited in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. French is an artist from South East England whose love of metal music, history and story-telling informs his often dark artwork. He has exhibited in the UK, France, Denmark, Sweden, the U.S., Australia and Israel.

The dugout club is pretty much the only way to roll to a Dodger game. Don’t get me wrong sitting in the top deck with the die-hards slamming beers is a good time as well but theirs no free buffet up there. Free dodger dogs, tri-tip, shrimp, lobster, cookies, cakes and ice cream is pretty hard to beat. We sat in our seats and instantly started to smash food just like Kemp smashes homers. The first picture I took just happened to be Kemp slamming a home run in the bottom of the first. He was by far the player of the game. But I gotta say the best part of the game is when the Dodgers closer, Broxton, walks out of the bull pin with Sabbath blasting through the stadium. So sick ass. The Dodgers won the game 4-3 staying on top of the national league and I came up on 5 dodger dogs for the ride home. Don’t be surprised when you see them in the World Series. Think Blue.
